"Zingen en Dansen met de Doden"

Vrijdagavond 4 mei (dodenherdenking)

Een gezamenlijk kunstwerk maken met een foto of voorwerp van een dierbare overledene en eenvoudige maaltijd: vanaf 17.00 uur
Zingen met als thema het tijdelijke, het vergankelijke, de dood: 19.30 uur sharp
Den Bosch / 's Hertogenbosch

Locatie: Artots, Guldenvliesstraat 4H, 5211 AM

In samenwerking met yogabijmaya.nl en stichting Art On The Spot

Mantra zingen en kunst in het thema van dodenherdenking bij Artots.
`De mensen herdenken die in wo2  iets betekent hebben voor de vrijheid die wij nu als democratisch land hebben is de oorspronkelijke gedachte van 4 mei `, zegt Maria Palmen , yogadocent en medeinitiatiefneemster van deze avond.` Maar mijn generatie kent nauwelijks nog persoonlijk mensen die in de tweede wereldoorlog zijn omgekomen. Toch raakt deze avond vaak aan je persoonlijk gevoel van gemis en verdriet om jouw dierbare overledenen. En dat gevoel kan je met ons komen delen op 4 mei.`
Isidoor Wens (Artots) begeleidt de aanwezigen bij het creëren van een gezamelijk ,tijdelijk kunstwerk ter ere van alle overledenen die door de aanwezigen ``ingebracht`` worden.  Hans Beenhakkers, Kirtan-zanger en voorzanger op deze avond zegt. `Eigenlijk willen de meesten van ons de doden niet loslaten.  Dat is een bron van veel ellende en lijden. Op deze avond de dood al zingend en, als je wil, ook dansend omarmen kan helend werken.  Zodat de pijn van het gemis opgeruimd wordt en er weer plaats komt voor vreugde`.

From 17.00: make a collective artwork with a picture or an object from a dear one who passed away, and a simple meal.

Dia de Los muertos het Mexicaanse feest wat gevierd wordt op onze Allerzielen en Allerheiligen.

Day of the Dead is a time of reflection about the meaning of life and the mission that one needs to fulfill. Death in many situations imparts a feeling of pain and loss, particularly for those who do not know the purpose of their path on this earthly plane. For others, death is transcendence, transformation and resurrection. During the celebration of Day of the Dead all those feelings and beliefs come together in a season that brings to life the memory of the loved ones. In the typical Halloween festivities, death is something to be feared. But in el día de los muertos, death — or at least the memories of those who have died — is something to be celebrated.
